Armadillo Scute Farm: Endless Wolf Armor

Why this matters

Armadillos drop armadillo scutes, the only material for wolf armor. They live in savannas and badlands. Works in Java and Bedrock (1.20.5 and newer).

Quick steps

Step 1: Find armadillos in a savanna or badlands biome and lead them home with spider eyes.

Step 2: Build a small fenced pen and breed them with spider eyes.

Step 3: Brush adult armadillos to get a scute right away. They also drop scutes on their own every few minutes.

Step 4: Craft wolf armor from 6 armadillo scutes and put it on a tamed wolf.

Tip: Do not sprint near armadillos – they roll up and you cannot brush them until they unroll.
